This ampliphone was made to fit an iPad 2, using an old broken mellophone, I believe.

There is a cam-action lock that holds the iPad in place while the unit rotates from portrait mode to landscape mode.

All functions of the iPad 2 are accessible while docked, including charging / sync, volume control, external buttons and the entire screen.

The dock is all stainless steel. The unit pivots on a surplus industrial bearing. The legs, which look like wood, are actually steel with brown patina. The mellophone was a rescue, and shows authentic patina from its many years of either living in someone's basement, or touring with some NWOBHM band.
